Process

We start with a kick-off call to set the foundation for your book before moving into two outlining calls. While we’re not married to the outline, it gives us a great roadmap for our journey.

After the groundwork is laid, we move into interviews. These are typically 90-minute interviews done once a week or every other week. But you’re a busy professional and there are ways to be flexible with this.

As we go through the interviews, I start writing your book. To ensure I’m capturing the essence of you, you get a sample chapter to review to ensure that I’m capturing your voice, style, and general vision for your book.

After the first draft of the manuscript is complete, you’ll have about a month to review and provide feedback on the full draft. We’ll then go through your comments and suggestions to make a second draft that you can’t wait to hand off to the publisher!

And if the thought of finding a publisher just gave you anxiety, don’t worry. I can help connect you to the other folks I trust who will bring your book to life as well!

These projects typically take ~6 months, depending on the author’s schedule.

In this collaborative approach, you take the lead on writing and I leave detailed comments and suggestions in your manuscript. I also provide coaching calls every other week to discuss feedback, answer questions, and guide you through the process.

You get the support of an experienced partner while still getting to take the lead in putting “pen to paper” while bringing your book to life.

Process

Here I am your book coach, guiding you along the journey of writing your own book. I review your manuscript and provide big picture feedback, without getting too much into the details. We discuss this feedback on bi-weekly coaching calls. I’ll also use this time to walk you through best-practices and answer any questions about publishing and beyond.

You get the support that not only helps you get to the finish line but also takes away second-guessing that may come up for you as an author throughout the process. You get to focus on the areas you’re an expert in, and I provide the expertise on actually writing the book.
