What’s the best way to research other businesses in your market? Generally, this means researching businesses that are in a similar niche, are of a similar size, and operate in a similar way.
And this research can give you a lot of information, but it will only tell part of the story because every business is so unique. You might agree that every business is unique, but where does this incomparability come from?
The voice of the company, its mission, its values, and all those intangibles that don’t fit nicely onto a piece of paper.
But as a business leader, how do you get your voice out there? I’m not just talking about getting your voice out there, but I’m talking about getting it out there in a meaningful and impactful way.
Intuitive marketing strategy.
What is an intuitive marketing strategy and why is it so important?
Alignment is crucial to success
So many times, there is a tension that business founders, owners, and leaders feel when they think about marketing. They think it’s salesy and generic and pushy. And that’s precisely where the voice gets lost.
If the marketing and communications strategy is disjointed from what leadership intuitively knows to be true and from the impact leadership knows it can make in the world, then the messages are likely to fall flat and leadership will end up being neutral – at best – toward the strategy. This leads to disjointed and uninspired communication that falls flat when trying to reach the target audience.
It’s all about the mission
Intuitive marketing strategies will inherently capture the mission and the values of leadership because the voice and message of leadership will flow with more ease when the strategy is intuitively catered to their style and preferences.
When leaders are put in a position where they can intuitively communicate their passion and mission, the message flows more easily, the tension around the marketing is released, and the inspired message does the selling to the target audience.
It always comes back to authenticity
By working within an intuitive strategy that caters to your voice and style, you as a leader are set up to communicate organically and authentically about your organization, what you have to offer, and your overall values, mission, and vision.
By staying authentic to your mission, vision, and values, you can communicate the impact and transformation that your products and services can make in an inspired and impactful way. Your target audience can tell when you are marketing just to sell and when you are marketing to make an impact.
Choose wisely.
